Darkness Undone Slamming the door of wisdom’s true light Hiding in a daze of darkened insight. "Please rescue me" I whispered in the pitch dark. Seeking the truth to fulfill my heart. Sensing the presence of something sinister near. Razor sharp thoughts of blackened fear. Doubting despair creeping past my minds door. Holding my breath, afraid of what is in store. Terrible words echo throughout my mind Not seeing a thing with eyes that are blind Heart racing faster in beats two or three "What is it now that you want of me? Leave me alone! I don't want to play! Just take to your wings and leave… Fly away!" In angst and terror my soul screamed out. I asked to be rescued from this dark fog of doubt. . Finally His love removed darkness at last, Now in the light; all dark thoughts had passed. My countenance pale from having no sun. Now, I bask in His love with the darkness undone Poetry is: |

Cher, I was intrigued by your title and now having read the poem, I appreciate the title even more--"Darkness Undone"--I like the sound of it--and how you wrote of this. Linda |

(big hugggsssssss) God Bless You, sweet friend, and know He is always watching over you and on every stormy or obscure day it doesn't mean the sun is on vacation, it's just right behind the clouds shining above! (sigh) This is precious, sweet friend, you are a special blessed friend to us all, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Cheryl, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Oh yes, you did a great job with this. I felt the dread, the fear and the lifting of the darkness. This is excellent Cher. As always you write of things I know so well. |

Thanks to everyone! I recently had a loved one in the hospital with a condition going from bad to worse very fast...Trying to not be overwhelmed with dread and fear are absolutely awful when things are out of control..I need to be reminded to have faith and ask for help in getting stable again....This , of course, always is the attack at night when all seems twice as bad.. Thanks for your loving responses! aloha and hugs, Cher Poetry is: |
