My Mommy Muys can't dance for a while, she'll be in hospital |

 Muys = Muis = Mouse, one of my father's drawings for her My Mommy Muys will be in hospital For the next couple of days at least So if you thought of planning a party She won't be able to dance on your feast Her toes are growing in not the right way And when the doctor had looked, he said: "Dear old lady, we're going to fix them, I'll sign you in and put you in bed" They'll tear and crack her toes a bit Until they'll stand in a straight line And Toerag will be green with envy Because each toe will have a rag real fine Next Thursday morning's dawn I'll bring her To this hospital in Knokke city Belgium hospitals are like fancy hotels You get a beer at dinner and rooms look pretty You haven't seen her in a while Because she drove her car to my sis She's back now, preparing this operation I'm sure it's all of you she will miss I know she'd love to show your replies To all nurses and doc's in this hospital And I'll keep you posted on how she's doing Until she can dance again on your ball Like scattered leaves...my words will flow [This message has been edited by Titia Geertman (11-04-2002 07:26 PM).] |

Hello Wind, My Mommy Muys is far from fictitious  , she's even a member here at PIP, she writes, I translate and there she is.She's well known here, but hasn't been on for a while because of this trip she made. My Mommy Muys is 91 years old and started computering last year. No, she's not fictitious at all, she's really quite a lady I must say. I think I shall begin a poem of a lady in a shawl with the idea that her toes shall stick out and that she'll speak with a country drawl... I think I shall make the poem a bit of giggle-er... so that when you read it to Muys, perhaps it will jiggle her... Tell Mum Muys to please take care and listen to her doctors, all so that she can hurry back and tell poems while wearing her shawl! |

She always ended up on the left When she really wanted to go right And when she tried to tiptoe She knew something was not right After a few Dutch-brewed beers This mouse could really jive And though her toes ran askew She had them all, two times five A little snip and a crack Was what the doctored said And so sweet Titia went off To tuck her Mama in bed It won’t be long before she’s up With a smile and a glint in her eye Can you believe this Mama Muys Is only 91 years spry? ** Get well Mama Muys!! |

 Boy I sure hope the doctor is a cutie patootie, at her age she should demand the best you know.And I am with Balladeer, you would think 91 year old toes would sure know where they were going wouldn't you? LOL |

Bill's got a tune for Muys To keep her on her toes ... He can sing and play it So that she will know She can still up and boogey When the beat gets to her feet So come on back to Florida ... Bring that Mum so dear We'll throw a ball in her honor Then stand around and cheer As Muys does the shag Out by the Villa pool ... She'll lead the gathered poets And be nobody's fool ! And when the neighbors Begin to call the cops ... We'll just invite them over ... To dance until they drop ! Get up and boogey Muys We think you are soooooo neat What's a little 'toe' clip When you've got two left feet ! (or is that two feet left ?) If I can be as spry as she At the age of 91 ... Just think of how I'll boogey Because SHE showed me soooooo much FUN ! Okay, dearest friend ... Our beautiful little Titia girl, with all her pictures and poems She had to have her knee surgery, and now it's her sweet little Mums I hope your knee is better now, 'cause strength you'll be needing much more When Mums gets her toes fixed, you'll need strength to keep her from the dance floor So tell Mums just to rest awhile after she has the surgery And she can write a bunch of her good poems for all of us here to see Good luck and best wishes to both of you.
