AS I HAVE TO LEAVE YOU

"I love you, my Baby", we often say
to each other
Mostly on the phone, though in person
we'd much rather
It's hard to be apart when together
is so much better
With our hearts so entwined we are
destined to be together

In our lives there seems to be
such complications
But on all of these we will
serve notification
To each other, no way will we lose
our dedication
With each other we will be for
life's duration

As I have to leave you and tears
fill our eyes
More and more it's simple for us to
fully realize
That this awful pain we feel will
not completely subside
Until in the very same home together
we will forever reside

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Ethel, I cried reading this because I know this feeling ever so much and long to be with my sweetheart Joanna so very much and to have her forever because she is an angel to me! (sigh) This is touching and I wish for you and your love to always be together soon and marry in destiny always, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! really sweet. this one is sure to end up in an e-card sometime soon!

reminds me (everyone is probably thinking it) of John Denver's "leaving on a jet plane." the way you wrote it, it could probably be set to music.

Michael, thanks so much for taking the time to read my poem and for your reply to me. Yes, I will certainly be glad when Gary and I have a home together. I hate being apart from him at all. We both want this more than anything in the world.
