This little poem I write, might not be understood Before I got my little Scooter, I surely never could Understand how my friend could love her little dog like a baby I even told her that it might be just a little too much, maybe But then for a gift, I got this little dog of mine It's been almost a year now, and we get along real fine I've had pets all of my life and I really did love them But this one I'm more attached to, I hope I'll always have him From the start he's been as special as could be Because he was a Christmas present that my Love gave to me I never did like to let, in the house a dog to stay But little Scooter from the start, in here most of the day With him in my bed, I even let him sleep That started out when just a puppy and in his bed he'd weep I know when I talk about him, some think I'm mighty silly But like my friend said to me, it doesn't matter, really I've got my daughter, my Love, family, and lots of good friends But, my little Scooter, a loving ear he always lends He listens to me when I have happiness, troubles, or woes It seems that with his instincts, my moods he always knows When I come home from places, and doing things I have to do He greets me with such love and joy, like I've been gone for a year or two So if every now and then, a poem like this you see I'm just talking about my little Scooter, who's like a "baby" to me Love makes the world go 'round (unkown) with love and hugs from Ethel [This message has been edited by garysgirl (11-03-2002 10:08 AM).] |

GiGi: yes, sigh, i know. Thank you for your empathy in my poem, as you surely do know what they mean. It's not just the loss...its losing the completeness of OUR lives without them. How pure their love: they reserve all judgements from us, yet give all they can give. A living testament to the power we have to love ALL things, and not just people. Jeff |

(smiles) Awwwwwwwww, I love puppies soooooooo much, they are soooooooo cute and I loved the first poem just as much as I love this dedication! (kiss on cheek) I think puppies are a lot like us in a way as they always seem to cry when they share their sympathy to you and are happy when you ae happy! (kiss on cheek) I love this, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Ethel, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Noah, thanks so much, sweet friend. I felt so bad for Jeff when I read his poem about his sweet little "Baby" doggy. I didn't know exactly how to let him know that I understood a little of the pain he felt. So, I thought my poem might kind of help him to know. The first thing I thought of was how bad I would be hurting if that was about my little "baby" Scooter. Thanks for understanding me, sweet friend. Love makes the world go 'round (unkown) |

Ethel, you are fortunate to have such a loving canine friend---and you should read this poem to him...from the sounds of it, he's part human and will understand every word, but if he doesn't, he will hear the love in your voice. ~ hugs to you and your little buddy Linda |

Thanks, Linda..... You know, he may really be part human(?), the heart and emotions part, anyway. He acts as though he understands me very well. Maybe I will read the poem to him........ Love makes the world go 'round (unkown) |
