There was a man in a far off land who built a time machine. He tuned it fine until the time appropriate for him. And when it seemed that every ream and bolt was in its place. He sat he down and in early dawn caromed through time and space. He grit his teeth and couldn't breathe. He feared that he would die. His eyes bulged out, he gave a shout and baby-like he cried. Then with a blast and very fast He came to a lofty place upon a cliff above a rift dividing time and space. He chafed at what he had got and turned the dials again. But nothing moved and in that groove he firmly stuck remained. Now he sits there upon his chair not knowing what to do. Sometimes he blinks. Sometimes he thinks, or just pretends to chew. Sometimes he counts. Sometimes he mounts imaginary steeds. Sometimes he moans. Sometimes he groans. And sometimes he just breathes. |

Be careful what you wish for huh? The tragedy and trap of thinking the grass is always greener... Liked this very much. ThisDiamond |

![]() (big hugggssssssss) Oh Radrook, this is so very tragic, sweet friend, so many times the moment is just fools gold and especially today we have to be very cautious or we may sink even deeper in despair! (sigh) This is well-said, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Radrook, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Beautifully written, Radrook... Sometimes scientific advances backfire on us in most horrible ways... Maybe we were better off before we knew all of this good stuff! ![]() Lyra |

Very true! Nuclear fission has been double-edged as Chernoble and Hiroshima demonstrated. Now human cloning is threatening to open up another proverbial can of worms. Judging by our mishandling of prior inventions and discoveries, perhaps time travel should be forever beyond our reach due to the havoc we might cause.
