My Heart Is Not Equipped

His words slid smoothly
I then drank in with zeal
Only now am I realising
That ignorant never feel

All so easily swallowed
Each sweetly tasting lie
Tenderly words stroked
Still hoodwinked was I

A mind taken for a ride
My heart not equipped
When once upon a time
Into seduction I slipped

Tongue wrapped around
Words dripped in desire
I was thirsting for more
Foolishly trusting a liar

I started feeling special
Esteem was on the rise
Answers I need to hear
Why he fed me the lies

Hope - Have you been hanging around Toerag and Balladeer? Those two devils! You should believe only me! BTW - I like the poem, but not the pain it must have cost. I hope you have put that far behind you.

(sad sigh) I think it is a very foolish thing to lie and if there is one thing I hate more it is to tell a lie! (big hugggsssss) Oh Hope, this is excellent, my heart goes out to you and hope the truth can finally come out and no longer break your heart, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Hope, thank you for sharing!
