The following was inspired by a class with whom I was substitute teaching this morning. They were a nice class, just had a problem with over-vocalization. Chatterbox My voice just takes off on me I never plan or try. It just pops right out my mouth I often wonder, "Why?" So please forgive me if I speak When I've not had permission It seems to happen every day; I guess it's my condition. What condition's that, you may ask That causes me to rattle on? It seems my tongue is on the go From the early, early dawn. ©October 30, 2002 Whether on the shoal or on the shore, |

Cute, Virginia! This reminds me of my granddaughter, Nicole (except not in class, in class she obeys the rules!) but sometimes she'll start talking about something, and, I swear, I am listening in the beginning, but then I catch myself daydreaming or something, and realize that she's still going at a fairly good clip ten minutes later without a breath! Kids, ya gotta love 'em! Oh, and my granddaughter, Abigail (just turned one) said Sponge Bob today, pointing at a poster of him!!! You can just imagine how precious that was! |
