As Long As It Matters By: Noah Eaton 10/30/02 What can I do to pass this time Without trembling along the way My mind feels like an abandoned shipyard Cluttered with broken airplanes I can't help it if my tongue feels tied Speaking all these tiffany glass cliches Repeating everything I long to tell you Everything I wanted to say... But I won't fall away As long as it matters As long as your love is here to stay As long as you're here for me... Made a birthday wish Just to keep our love glowing bright For this flame to never turn blue Having faith you'll soon be by my side Doesn't the thought of feeling speechless Make you want to cry? When you're holding my hands in spirit Kissing against that punch-drunk sky But I won't fall away As long as it matters As long as your love is here to stay As long as you're here for me... Sometimes everything feels hopeless Sometimes it's all in your head As though you're speaking 50 different languages When all you want to do is rest on your bed Sometimes I feel I should apologize Just when the brightness of your love Makes my faith grow weak Has my eyes seeing stars and doves... Dear sweet Noah, just don't "ever fall away" because I feel, from what you've said before, that your Joanna needs to know that you will be with her "FOREVER AND A DAY".
