An Ode To Marge You hear the spirits speaking inside Murmuring truths some sought to hide The spirits found their voice in you You speak the words loud and true The crimes of injustice dealt by mens hand Theft of life from your sacred land Revealed for all the truth coldly stark You show the light repel the dark Your pen illumes the darkest night Showing the moon’s mysterious light No other writer can do all this Show the meaning within poet’s kiss Wherever my eyes caress your name I’m drawn like magic to the flame I taste the thought that you show While over my soul your words will flow Imagination and such artistry You paint the page with your poetry The touch of your pen on the page Rolls back time to a more restful age The tales of heart you write here Shows the soul and writes its fear Revealed is the touch of your humanity Inscribed on the page and read by me Marsha Breathe through the heat of our desire |
