All those nights you would stab me with your terrifying words The shapness of those things you would say made me bleed inside All those nights of being panic-stricken , powerless and inferior to you I still remember the way you would stare at me with so much detest Your eyes would pierce my heart leaving it with an open wound which can never heal All those nights spent with dismay and intimidation walking on such shaky ground Hearing the roar of your voice from across the room All those nights I hid from you- silently crying inside because I was too frozen to make a sound I would sit alone in the corner of my room - the only place to find security silent tears would fall from behind my scarred eyelids All those nights I still recall so well I have to live with the reminder of your hateful eyes and ungreatful voice remembering all those nights I lived In a hell I called home... |

Hey good post. I can totally relate to this. I also lived with an achoholic father not easy eh? you bring such a life to your words, your audience can get such a scene and feel the awesome dominating presence of your father, good job " I think I got a tan from the light in which i was basking." |

xxxnuttyangelxxx~ Wow...this is an extremely powerful write, and I felt the pain in every word as I read. I'm sorry to hear that this has been your reality, but am happy to hear that things are better now. Excellent job of expressing your feelings. Well done.
