All that I deserved? All that I could handle. Reality whips me in the face, and I see the fact that always existed. Never felt that I was capable, never dreamed I was worthy. Lived in fantasy- dealt with the pain. It'll be ok, the world had whispered, everyday I doubted more. My heart too cold to handle love, so I filled it with misery. A flair for the dramatic, they've always said- "only happy when it rains." Well, that's just Garbage, anyway. And today I awake and see, I deserve the most and more. My heart is persuaded- and I understand. I really love me. |

Wow, are you writing about my life here? Good poem. It strikes me as being very honest, which I appreciate as a reader. I like how you showed the affect of time and experience. Jaime i was here [This message has been edited by Jaime (12-06-2002 10:47 AM).] |
