Dirge of Winter I drift with the cold wind to fall into the snow. My heart is sinking through it all. If I could only dream of you, But even the dream of you is gone. The song of the bitter wind will put me to sleep, But not to find surcease from sorrow. Tomorrow won't bring release from the cold. The dreams that come are only wishes from yesterday, And I won't find you within them. Where you have gone no one will find you. Death held your hand too tight. And now it is always cold. Aww... this was so sad.... It reached down and plucked at some heart strings I thought were long lost. All I can say is that I'm sorry.... It was a great poem, if written about a sad event. Hope you're okay. Rich |

what in the name of corn on the cob is going on? I had an idea for a poem with almost the exact same title. It was a great poem, I enjoyed it. -Stinky Twinkie- |

Brought a tear to my eye. Hope you feel better if it was based on true events that happened to you. |
