         His Legacy

He never knew a stranger,
would give the shirt right off his back,
watched over all his children,
for he loved them so.

A legacy of many,
are left behind though he is gone.
he'll live always in our memories,
through our hearts we'll pass him on.

Now his spirit's gone to Heaven,
and his suffering is done.
with a gold guitar and halo,
he's entertaining everyone.

Our hearts will hear his music,
from the love he left behind,
while he's playing that song,
for the angels on Cloud nine.

He'll be fishing for that big one.
He'll set the hooks and hand the poles
to the angels, one and all.

And he'll spread that love through heaven,
bringing joy to all he does,
and those of us still left on earth
will be showered with that love.

     A legacy of many,
are left behind though he is gone.
He'll live always in our memories,
through our hearts we'll pass him on.
