Have I chains that encircle my body, That can never be broken, That will never change my self entirely, Holding on to my heart. My heart writes these words, That long to be expressed, My love for words is what holds me, My love for the rhyme and rhythm. I want to shout out that, I am in love with poetry, But my body and voice are chained, And still I write with my heart. Even though cannot I say it, I can feel it strong. That is why it is not bound, By the chains. Death is not extinguishing the light; |

*Applause* Wow, this is really expressive (I was going to write 'and impressive' but then I thought that it would just sound weird ) I hope to read more. ~I haven't memorized all of the cute things to say but I'm working on it~ |

Welcome to Passions! Nice first piece. It's good to see that you're not going to be bound "by the chains". I look forward to many more pieces from you. Remember to reply as well as post as this is a community that works as a circle. You pay respect and others will do the same. ~AF~ "No wonder I do not make people comfortable. I am a mirror. You picked an effective image with which to discuss your feelings towards poetry here. Chains, strong and binding but never really binding... hmm? I'm also in love with poetry. Isn't it great? This is a very appropriate first post. It's admirable how your first few posts were spent on replying to other people's poetry, not a lot of members take the time to establish themselves before posting their first work. (I know I didn't) I am looking forward to reading more from you. Parasite Learn to place poetry before people |
