Just that girl in the mirror, Staring back with tears in her eyes. The one feeling anger, Wanting to let it all go. The girl people walk all over, And pretends that she means nothing. The one that's feeling hurt, She's ready to die. The girl with no worries, But a thousand regrets. The one who's almost crying, Because she's scared of the person she became. The girl who thinks about death, And how life would be without her. The one who acts so happy, Deep inside knows the truth. The girl who cuts herself, To see how much it would hurt. The one who can see the future, Happier and better without her in it. The girl who wants to be loved, But feels no one will ever love her. The one who walks in the shadows, And runs from everything she can. The girl who constantly asks herself, Who am I? |

Wow! freakin' awesome. This was very good I enjoyed it. It was dark and judging from my name I like darkness. I also wrote a poem called Who Am I? and it is posted on this website. Check it out and tell me what you think.(Although you might have to go back a ways to find it.) all things aside this was a great spot of writing indeed. Darkness |

We're all on an ongoing quest to find ourselves. It's something every individual seeks at some point or another. Sometimes you find yourself in a place you'd never thought you'd be, and sometimes you end up in a place you never wanted to arrive at. Needless to say, we've all been there and this poem explains a certain part of that arrival. Very well done.
