Have you ever mistaken airplanes for shooting stars? And even when you know which is which you still prefer the airplanes? Because I can wish on as many shooting stars as I want, But only an airplane can take me away, And take me to you. |

StellarChica~ OH, I'm liking this a LOT! I really enjoyed the whole idea of this. I'll never look at airplanes at night in the same way again. Very nicely done. Hugs, ~Vicky "...until you have read the verse on his heart, |

this one was good. i really liked the whole idea behind it. i don't like shooting stars because i don't like to wish. wishes just set you up for disappointment. my wishes never did come true. so i stopped wishing. but whenever i do see an airplane in the night sky, i sit there and i wonder. i wonder who's on board. where they're going. and why. or where they're coming from. or the destination of the plane. there are so many stories on that one plane. and what's going on up there? what if a man is having a heart attack while a doctor on vacation is trying to save his life. and you would never be able to tell just from looking at it. there is something so relaxing about flying at night. i love it. good write. /jen/ at first i wondered why white oleander was in the six dollar bargain bin. and then i read it. Jen's reply really intrigued me... hehe... I love this poem, StellarChica... it is definitely my favourite from you, there's no contest amongst what you've written... DO NOT take that to be negative, I just love how drenched in symbolism this one is. The title made me look forward to reading this, and the poem did not disappoint. Great writing.
