hey...haven't posted in awhile. dumb writers block, anywho...i know this isn't the best but oh well lol. i would try to make a dramatic title, but i think sometimes simple is best. -bergundy- like this poem... our friendship began awkwardly. even then i felt the connection, that only two people, who are so much alike, can feel. our pasts entertwined, in a strange dance of coincidences. you left me with no choice, but to trust you, and that scared the hell out of me. like a greedy child, with chocolate stained hands, i always wanted more. even if you didn't. but that was long ago, and as the cliche goes.. we drifted apart, things between us changed. with an AFI song, the hope in the lyrics, changed us back again. you sang it to me that night, like an angel, with two broken wings, reach the sky again. like a devil, meant for better things, i will find my place on high. when i heard your voice, after all that time... my belly dropped to the floor. i had no choice but to love you. *quote from from AFI's "the nephilim" no one can make you feel inferior, unless you let them.--eleanor roosevelt [This message has been edited by fearing-laughter (08-17-2003 03:58 AM).] |

i love the poem: it sounds like a piece of my own life, especially these lines: even then i felt the connection, that only two people, who are so much alike, can feel. thanks for posting. --Neo |
