It was the sunniest day of the year
But our perfect moment called for rain
So I put it off until the next day
And when I woke I saw gray
And I smiled at the overcast sky
As it began to pour down
I ran outside and found you waiting
And I put my smile to yours
And we stayed that way until lightning struck.

Short but still a wonderful poem, it said everything that it needed too without too much extra stuff, nice work
