Wisps of flame dance
across your eyes
as we lay tangled up
in each other's embrace

That self-same fire
in your eyes
rages within my chest
and grows with
each breath

Hands and eyes
roam freely without
restrictions
lips converge in
a shower of sparks
for now, we have
set aside our masks

Never have I felt
this way for another
yet there is sadness
within this joy
to know that, ours,
like all fires
will dim, fade, and die
but for now
I am content
here with you

this is a grate poem i felt this way about many people and in the end it always seems to end up the same but anyway keep writing

when you live you begin to die
when you die memories of you life lives in others
when memories of you begin to fade
you truly begin to die
