You don't care, so I will myself not to care. I call you here and there.. unable to say what I mean, unable to fix you. I want to make you well again, or for the first time. I want to be you, rather than see you in agony. I search inbetween the cobwebs in my brain, for something of benefit to say. You don't seem to care, but its selfish to want you to. I call you here and there to get to know you better, to know myself better. Never knowing where I stand... I'm just a girl, damn! If I may state bluntly how I feel.. Damn it all, theres nowhere to go from here. My heads here, my hearts there. Sixteen-years-old, lost and alone. Never understanding.. I thought I knew..I should have thought harder. Screams echo in my head, words locked inside feelings so obscure.. I attempt to reconcile. I want them to stop, All my feelings, useless. They lie and I believe.. I'm tired of being so naive. I call you here and there.. but not now, not anymore. It may be a year until you hear from me. To hell with it, I care too much. I open my heart too wide. I've had enough. Sixteen-years-old, and I'm dying inside. And its a painfully slow ride out of this life.. |

That was me when I was 14 and 15. I'm still 15, but I'm a lot better now. I hope things get better for you like they did for me. -Jen |
