Lightning strikes the ethereal substance of night
trying to rebuke its ghastly cloak of shadow
The stars glare in protest to the subtle form of death
the night has imposed upon the skies
Clouds smother everything within reach
shrouding all they can in a somber grey
Rain volleys to the earth below
in a precise and rhythmic manner
Thunder resounds throughout the area
sounding a mighty warcry
Eddies fleet to and fro to tell the tale
of the ongoing struggle for dominance
yet in all of this warring, I find serenity
Ironic isnt it?
