Love Over the Telephone

I want to be only yours.
I want to desire nothing else
but to be the one whom you
envelope in your calm air
that is alive with passion.
I want stability
dependency
desperation.
I want to hear the yearning
in your voice
as you whisper late at night
while I pretend to be able to sleep:
"I want you to hurt me."
I want you to profess your
love over the telephone
because you don't want me
to see you cry as you speak:
"I am living only for you.
I love you too much."
Though I can still hear
you gasping as you sob.
Then I want you to
hang up the phone
because you're too scared
to hear my reply:
"I am living only for you.
I love you too much."

wow. I can relate to this. Its beautiful, especially the ending. I really liked the style of this piece.

Good write...you expressed the feelings well. Seems as if you're writing about a long distance relationship...the hardest ones to emotionally handle. But hey...they can work real well. Best of luck!
