Showers of affection Seem to soak you head to toe Leaving you sopping Across my brand new beige carpet With a trail following right behind you Making your deed visible Scents of flowers and pretty things Stain your buttoned white shirt The air scatters it everywhere Up the stairs, into our bedroom Tainting everything it touches With something deceitful Your touch is now ice Freezing me in your embrace Your heart is black, your soul is empty I no longer exist to you Now the only thing that joins us Is the ring I still wear* "In life you must dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening and love like it's never going to hurt..." |
