A dumpster truck hanging by a silk thread
a bruised reed holding a raging ocean at bay
such is my willpower against these feelings for you

A blazing fire that consumes my thoughts
A chilling ice that slows my movements
such are the feelings I have for you

A lone peasant challenging a king
A fool chasing the horizon
this is how I feel

chasing rain

Again, a beautifully reflective (and also revealing) poem. I could identify with this, even though I'm not exactly a fan of relationship type poems. You captured the emotion so well that it's just wonderful to read just because I can relate without being turned off by the theme. Keep up the great stuff!
