As I leave saying my last goodbye, I turn my head and start to cry, and that last long look in your eye, I saw what could have been, Promises broken, Shattered dreams,is all reality turned out to be, Waiting for you to come back to me, This really is the end... The many thing I said to you, my confusion really was the truth, I didn't admit I lied, Because my heart didnt know what to do, At first I thought there was no chance, no room for you anywhere, I covered up my feelings towards you, pretending that I didn't care, I wish I could hate you for what you did, So it wouldn't be so hard, Your torture to my everyday, its tearing me apart, I wish you away with all my fears, so I can be alone, No worrying for who to shed these tears, no hurt I would have known, If you weren't there to make me see, make me open up, make me blind to everything, teach me how to trust, If you were never there to make me fall all over again, I'd be on my way for good And my heart could start to mend, If I could leave our memories and not wish for the past, I wouldn't be here right now trying to make it last, I wouldn't wait around in hope for brighter days, I wouldn't have any faith that you would ever change, As I start to turn away, you stop me once again, remind me of what we used to be, how easy things were back then, hopeful thoughts run through my head, its comfort to my mind, Hoping I'm right when I say your worth fighting for one more time, All at once I take a deeper look and realize what went wrong, You need to leave behind what you have in order to move on, you need time to find your purpose and find out wht you need, before you try to take me in again, for now I'll take the lead, It hurts to walk away from something that I can never let go, A part of me will always be there but I should never let you know, You'll have my heart in memory I'll never fade away, I'll keep a part of you with me, in my heart is where you'll stay, As I leave saying my last goodbye, I look at you and start to cry, I hug you tight just one last time and think of what could have been, Epitome of what we used to be, can no longer come running back to me, I open my eyes and finally see, this has to be the end... |
