Guiding Light Life is like a butterfly. Am I about to let it flutter by? There's so much that I might miss. When I think I've caught it, I just smashed it in my fist. My hopes smashed, my dreams crashed, Dashed on the rocks and carried by the drift. This plane ain't going down this time. Not without one heck of a fight. I'm not losing without tryin' As long as you're my guiding light. I'll fly straight as an arrow, Faster than the eye can see. Strong as the rapids' flow, For as long as you're here with me. Letting your light shine, I'll see throughout all space and time, In my lightspeed flight, As long as you'll be mine. I rebuild those smashed dreams. Those figments of imaginary things. It hurts more than I'll admit. All my hard work was for naught. It feels so harshly hit. Even after how hard I've faught. Inside I know it's not right. The only reason I keep up this fight, Is the hope of achieving your guiding light. I'd fly straight as an arrow, Faster than the eye can see. Strong as the rapids' flow, If you were here with me. Letting your light shine, I'd see throughout all space and time, In a lightspeed flight, If you'd only be mine. Life is like a butterfly, Am I gonna let it flutter by...? Are we gonna let this flutter by...? -Petey [This message has been edited by Petey (04-24-2003 10:52 AM).] |
