Love In An Unusual Place

Unfamiliar territory
Somewhere I've never been before
Everything was foreign to me
I walked the road feeling lost

As I continued
Hours seemed to pass
My legs became weary
Shaking as I walked on

Until finally
I came to the end
But there, someone was waiting
A person I'd least expect

The man who stood before me
Was a sweet and intelligent one
With warm, piercing eyes
That could make my heart melt in an instant

I stared into them deeply
And immediately felt the connection
Then suddenly, out of nowhere
I leaned over and gently kissed him

His smile afterward
Seemed to outshine the sun
He made me a better person in one breath
And at that moment I knew it was love

We then held hands
Walking this road, now together
This once incognizant place...
Was now but a dream come true *
