It was over right there and than, Just as soon as it began. I knew with those two simple words you spoke, We would never speak again. You came as the snow started to melt, And gone even before June’s sunrays were dealt. If only for a short period of time, The memory of you will never be erased from my mind. During then I had my feelings of overwhelming joy, Yet, you treated me like a toy. Like every other one before me, You had one thing in mind, and than would flee. You knew exactly how to get want you wanted, You teased and taunted. I laughed it off to hide, How it angered me inside. They spoke their words plain and true, They told me to get rid of you. That I was too good for you. They tried to show me what I didn’t want to see, Just another immature guy, playing games on me. It took just one more of your heartless acts, For me to reach inside and grasp, The strength inside me to finally let you go. Harsh words exchanged, not a pretty show. Now it’s all over, finally said and done. I think I should be sad… Should be mad… Should have listened… How could I have missed it? I feel like I’ve been spun around and twirled But you know what? I wouldn’t take it back for the world. |
