I don't want to loose you,
Please don't leave quite yet,
I won't say any "boo-hoos",
But please don't make me fret,
I do not wish for roses,
Or a dinner just for two,
But time's slipping from under our noses,
I just want to be with you,
But if you do choose to leave,
Then I will not sigh,
I'll just reflect that midsummer eve,
When we said we would never say "bye",
But, yes, I am ready,
I'll hold my hand steady,
As you kiss it, I'll cry,
So good-bye, good-bye.

That was so touching, I am never ready to say goodbye and that's probably why it hurts so darn much, but anyway, nice read and write.

I don't think I've read any of yours before.
Welcome to pip then, since I didn't get say that before.
This is a really good poem, different from the usual break up ones.(if that is what it is)
I try to be ready for good-bye but it never works, what's your secret?
