Soft.
Soft tears fall,
from eyes pure red;
all a blur-
the sting of loss.
Empty nights,
faded dreams.
Wishing for something-
someone.
Shut down
and closed off-
unable to see you
for what you are.
My knight in
shimmering armor-
putting the pieces
back.
Until one day
when the sun rises,
and the cloak
is removed.
I see it
now.
It's in your
brown eyes,
and the way
you hold me;
Soft.

(smiles) Oh jenn, this is lovely, sweet friend, tears are truly the great expressors of ones heart, and may the tears always reflect that lovely smile that cradles them! (sigh) Generally I don't hang around Teen Poetry much but I just wanted to support all the wonderful Teen poets here in finding their place in Reflections, as you have my proud vote, yay, we all love you so much! I liked the poem. The way you wrote it was very nice. It exemplified passion and emotion very well..... I'm glad I read this.
