" I Need You In My Life " (13/02/03) © 2003 Brian Eggertsen, All Rights Reserved Verse 1 Tears of ruins wet my eyes The castle I build's been stormed, Naked with nowhere to run A cold breeze steels my warmth. Upon worn out knees I pray With a mouth filled with lost words, But now the ship is leaving For this bleeding heart that hurts. Chorus Teach me to be strong, So I can belong. Want to make a change, Need to re-arrange. I need you in my life. Need you to love me, To help me believe. To re-build my pride, Need you by my side. I need you in my life. Verse 2 I didn't mean to lose you Sure you didn't mean to leave, One day the well just ran dry And you became a memory. I tried to keep our bond tight But seeing you in pain snapped it, Felt like dirt saying goodbye 'Cause now the pieces don't fit. Chorus Teach me to be strong, So I can belong. Want to make a change, Need to re-arrange. I need you in my life. Need you to love me, To help me believe. To re-build my pride, Need you by my side. I need you in my life. Bridge So many things we never did So many things we'll never do, I just wish this life was a dream And that this dream weren't at all true. Chorus Teach me to be strong, So I can belong. Want to make a change, Need to re-arrange. I need you in my life. Need you to love me, To help me believe. To re-build my pride, Need you by my side. I need you in my life. |

I really enjoyed this. Wish I could here it with the music and melody to get a better feel for it. I really liked the first verse, epecially these lines: "Upon worn out kness I pray, with a mouth filled with lost words." Very good, very sad. Great job. Keep it up, ~Lexy |

This is filled with so many emotions and comes off as one of the strongest and most heart felt pieces I've seen of yours. Great job with this!!! Laura "All that I desire to point out is the general principle that Life imitates Art far more than Art imitates Life." |
