To whom it may concern, If it pesters anyone at all, I would like my land to be, The plot beneath the hill, Where north I face the noon, In silence and in shade, Where east I see the moon, In stormy horizon gloom, I would like my song to be, Sung below the rain, I would like to be mourned, In grief and in pain, But dreams of the dead, Seldom ever come. So south I face, In full on sun, I can see no moon, For I am set to rest. Solipsism saves us from the atavism of the Equalitarian. |
