You gave up everything you had, And it’s quite sad, When who you want to be, Isn’t who you are, You used to act so differently But now you’re just a nobody to me. It’s not okay, To give up everything you used to be, And it’s not okay To be overcome by greed, Because I miss the old days, Of just you and me, Just climbing up the tree, Not a worry in the world, Could have kept us from each other, And not a worry in the world, Could have changed you for another Yeah, this is my second poem I've posted in the last half hour, and I wrote both of them today. So, comments? This one is about someone who changes who they are to fit in, or be accepted. |

This is a really neat poem . Ever heard of the song Champange Supernova? It too talks about Changing to fit in.. This is an issue that is serious between people. Thank you for exposing that! Have a good day! Yes there will be tommorrow, but will you be there to greet it? |

I really like that, seems like the kinda thing I'd write only better. I like the rhyme scheme a lot because it never gets old. Nice job. A VERY nice job! |

I like the poem its pretty good. Umm, Champagne Supernova? You mean Oasis? "Moving slowly down the hall, Faster than a cannonball, Where were you while we getting high?" and so on. I always thought it was about amphetamines but oh well you learn something new every day! Solipsism saves us from the atavism of the Equalitarian. |

Great poem! I really liked it. I understand what you mean about changing just to fit in, it doesn't matter what other people think..just what you think. Anyway, I am babbling. Love it! -Jeanette- |
