I can remember before
In a place no longer there
When I was still a child
Dreaming, unaware
Memories of lives
Entwining with my own
Before drifting away
Leaving me alone
Time just a moment ago
Gone forevermore
Never to return
To the moment just before
There is only one way to the past
In the memory of those alive
As long as you remember
The past will always survive.
