As the stars twinkling bright, With the tempo of the night, Chorus in the wind Reminds me in yonder Christmas Eve A couple tried to seek a place to rest- But find no doors... no smiles. The pregnant virgin was called Mary. Traveling afar, without helps They had come to a hay where Where to us a savior is born! In the first Christmas Thousands rejected Him, Yet still many who were blessed Came before Him and bowed. Today I wonder whether I rejected Him. Did I serve my brother and the less? Did I forgive who wronged me? And will I ever be able to be forgiving? Am I seeking Him today, Or blinded by the cloud above me? I wonder and ponder... How beautiful is love. I need You, Lord. I need to feel the power of yours. Would you answer my prayers And help me to cast away evil and doubts? Would you give me a thanksgiving heart And be my Santa in my dreams? I would love to hear your voices, Jesus. I would love to be your dear daughter And sing to you with all my heart. Would you grant my wishes this year? I have been a good girl this year... Well maybe not... but at least... I get good grade in school... Can I be your little sister Who holds teddy bear in pajamas Waiting for you to read her stories? Little Girl is not going to bed Until she hears from You... Eliza Simmons ~Sometimes when I look back at what I wrote, I don't recognize the 'Me' in the past anymore. Santa Claus will give you whatever you want. I dont care what anybody says, Santa is real. All jokes aside, this was a good poem. I enjoyed reading this. -Stinky Twinkie- [This message has been edited by Stinky Twinkie (12-22-2002 11:37 PM).] |

*smiles* I often wonder those same things myself. This poem seems like it might make a good song somehow. Well, i'm not good at those things. Anyhow, this poem was great, and just in time for the Holidays! Thanks for the pleasure! -Rich "You can't hurt meee!! 'Cause I've got on my cheeeeese helmet!" |
