Life is not that bowl of cherries, nor is life always covered in cream.
Life is filled with a storm’s flurries, in waking moments or a dream.

Life brings to us a shed of tear or takes us to a feel of fear.
Causing one’s heart to flutter and skip, or stub a toe just before we trip.

Living a dream’s moment come true, wanting to please ourselves anew.
Walking a path where never led, lying awake,alone in bed.

Listening to our mind and heart, wondering if this all will start.
Tears of uncertainty release, searching, wanting, in need of peace.

Yea though I walk a trail not seen
A path unsure in darkness sheen.
I shall walk with head held high
though I might weep or softly sigh.
