Many miles separate us, Yet when I breathe your name, I want you to feel that yearning fire, Singeing through your veins. As my starving lips, Melt against your picture frame, I pray your every fear, Gently floats away. As I send kisses in the moonlight, On the tender wafting twilight winds, I pray they reach your heart tonight, And give you comfort deep within. As every longing teardrop, Rolls slowly down my cheek, I pray you feel the same memory, That I felt to make me weep. And for every tear of sorrow, I give to you a tear of joy, That there be a brighter tomorrow, With hope for you and I. So in every gale that passes, Blowing through your hair, May you feel the lingering kiss, That I left on your ear. So that you could taste its warmth, And keep it as a promise, That my love will always be the dawn, On the horizon of your darkness. |
