Thank goodness it's Friday! The weekend's on its way, I've made it through another week And now it's time to play! I may go sailing on a lake Or dance the whole night through, Or maybe learn to fly a plane There's so much I could do! I may go out for dinner And then go see a play, Or maybe I could ride a horse Or see an art dispay. Perhaps I'll buy a luxury That I can ill afford, For money's meant for spending And not for us to hoard! You sure can't take it with you Thru' Peter's pearly gate, So loosen up your purse strings Before it is too late! Be generous with others And also with yourself, Enjoy the finer things in life Before you're on the shelf! So take that dream vacation, You've put off year to year, And live life to the fullest Don't live your life in fear. For life is for the living So savour all you can, Get out there and do it all And love your fellow man. Give your best the whole week through And earn each cent you're paid, Then balance work with pleasure And you will have it made! That goodness it's Friday! So I'll leave my work behind For now I plan to have some fun And have a real good time! |

To add to loner's reply... you sound like you know how to have some fun... and I totally agree your refreshing point of view. What do we slave our buts off for but to have the means to enjoy life... and share that attitude with others. Love, Light and Peace.... Yes, this is so true. Spend a little, save a little. The money folks would love to have you save it all so that they can "invest" (spend) it for you. Have fun, for the clock is running and it waits for no one. Thanks for reminding me. Nice poem.  |
