This was written about a woman who came into the motel where I work. She was a homeless person who was sent to us by the Department of Human Services.I was moved and saddened by her plight as she seemed so lost and abandoned. * * * * * A plastic bag held her belongings Unkept hair stuck to her face Her appearance was dishevelled Void of elegance and grace I asked her where she came from But she said she had no home I wondered with much sadness Why this woman was all alone She couldn't meet my eyes So embarassed she seemed to be Life had not been kind to her Was how things seemed to me She had been without food Since the beginning of the day How she longed for a shower And a place where she could lay She turned and walked away After I handed her the key She disappeared into the darkness And I felt nothing but pity I am in motion |

Very sad Sue, but all too true in so much of the world. I can't imagine what it is like to have no place to call home. No place where I could lay my head in peace. We should always keep these people in our prayers and be less blind to their plight. Nice write here Sue, very touching. |

mmmmmm enjoyed the way you put this sad tale together. That line, about how she couldn't look you in the eye, says so much. Not just her embarassment, if she was, but more how animal act in subservance. God, i NEVER want anyone to look at me like that. We are all equal, and anything less is tragedy. jeff |

![]() (tears fall down my cheeks) Oh Sue, this about broke my heart reading this, my heart goes out to all these homeless less fortunate people and I too reach out to them with hope and hugs! (sad sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, you always bring comfort and love to everyone, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing! ![]() May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Sue: Such a sad story. I suppose you see this quite often? There are so many homeless people, everywhere you go. Betty Lou Hebert |
