Heart’s Dusty Brocades

Words they used to flow
Now lay thick with dust
There the once believed
Covers the whom to trust

Place in the heart archive
Lays the dusty brocades
All those believable notes
Where your past parades

Woven into heart’s fabric
Stitched into every groove
Words I gathered within
Memories I can’t remove

The forever I believed in
Neath my heart coverlet
Herein the details remain
Of a past I cannot forget

Daily into the dusty cache
Collected words weaved
Heart left tied to memory
For you I once believed

On reading the first 2 lines, I thought you were writing about writers block, but the heartbreak you describe is so searing and painful...
