August comes again, unknown, unseen not sure of what it wants to be (hot like July or cool like September) and so, the dog days come, long and hot following this logic (which even poets must do from time to time) the cat days would come as well, short and cool the August rain would fall slowly, like tears filling the sky with a lonely shade of gray a shade that the lightning dare not pierce lest it lose its shine people would welcome the cat days as cool relief but, we who hear the language of seasons know that the cat days echo September in their eyes reflections of green, red, and yellow that wait to be held for that moment when the leaves know their time (there's a reason they call it Fall) and so, the cat days have come August, a shadowed memory of itself gives way to multi-dappled September clothed in chill, hands clasped in want and August remembers the days may grow short when you reach September but, the nights grow longer in August --------------------------------------------------------------------- To the world, you may only be one person. But to one person, you may be the world. |

(sigh) Oh yes indeed, and all the way till December do the nights creep longer and the cat days slowly turn into wolf days as they get cooler until spring comes and starts the cycle again! (big hugggssssss) This is wonderful, sweet friend, I just love your thoughts we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sven, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Love, Noah Eaton "Underneath your clothes there's an endless story..." |

Yes, it would just stand to reason they would be considered "cat days". My favorite actually. Enjoyed [This message has been edited by WhiteRose (08-25-2002 10:30 PM).] |

I've learned what "cat days" are today and I couldn't think of a more pleasant way to learn. Simply wonderful Sven. |

Ah, I love the coming cat days, much better than the dog days of August. Though I do know some pretty cool people born in August Sandra |

Just thought I would give a gentle "bump" to another of your typically superb pieces of poetry.... |
