Lord Helios gazed on earth below,
from desert sand to mountain's snow,
He smiled upon land's radiant splendor,
awash in blaze from forth his render.

Then evening called unto the sun,
Give way to night, day's time is done,
Let loose the stars, jewels crytalline,
to light the way for vespertine.

Yes, I agree, the sun replied,
I cede the skies to eventide,
For I am tired, my time for sleep;
to leave the earth in Luna's keep.

Shines forth the vastness of the night,
As harvest moon glows golden bright,
Lord Helios yawns, day's curtain drawn,
Until once more, shines forth new dawn.

Tim,
A subtle wash of night and day
mythologically/metaphorically
speaking.
