if wishes were fishes, mine would smell bad |

I wish I had a scab to pick-- I'm yearning pieces of me gone-- I'm sitting humming silences as all around me demands song. I wish I held a plastic shield instead of ice that parts my way-- conversation is mine field-- bits of people on the way... I wish I had not slathered mud across my face to further blind... I wish I was not in this war. I wish I had not lost my mind. I have to rid myself of watch-- tick-tock driving me insane... instead I cut my left hand off-- and wish that I could feel the pain. I dream of things I could have done had I not wished my hand gone-- I dream of jacks, and bubble-gum... I wish, I could wish myself--young... Karen, I think we all have wished this... Your title made me wonder if I took the fish out of the boat? Did I? |

serenity, You grabed me with the title. Sorry there is nothing physical you can do, but you have the sort of mind that could be young forever. |
