The story of coming weekend...  Friday morning gathering sheep For blood must be taken, needle real deep Then off to work, a half hour drive Doing my chores till the hour of five Jump in my car and hit the road Driving through Belgium, not going by boat Three hour drive to a meeting with men Pulling them all a leg if I can Then around midnight I'm driving back Keeping awake with my eyes on the track Sleep a few hours then off to some fishing Catching a big one is a thought of wishing The rest of the day is for my sweet Mom She has her birthday, hope more to come Late dinner at night at a nice restaurant What else does a country girl ever want Sunday morning quick peek at PIP See all those new poems and get in a dip Buyers of sheep will come roaming my herd And I will be smothered all over with dirt Sunday night some peace finally When you hear deep sighs, well they will come from me  Like scattered leaves...my words will flow [This message has been edited by Titia Geertman (08-22-2002 05:20 PM).] |
