Let's pray together Faintly, I these days I wonder Why my seamless actions are judged As a prisoner of your honest surmise. Next to the purity of my actions Are the righteousness of yours, locked Intertwined in an endless skirmish for truth. Late at night when darkness consumes There I leave all frustrations, in silent prayer luminaries lift me, with sleep this world disappears. Seems you're an equation beyond me, As we cycle and roller coaster through sunny days Then thunder storms, for which we're never primed. How can we communicate if trust Isn't our table? If faith has been exhausted? Going crazy for sunlight at the end of this tunnel. Then maybe tonight when darkness consumes... With me in prayer you'll share your frustrations. Together, drift to with luminaries as the world disappears. My poetry is at: http://www.thehayden.org |
