Will I Ever Believe

When I was young I used to think
that no one could ever love me.
Now that I'm older I thought
I had gotten over that.
That is until the other day
when I found myself feeling the
same feelings from those younger
years I thought had gone away.
And now I'm not so sure
just how I feel.
When someone says
they love me
will I ever
believe it's
real?

Thought provoking write James Michael; love is a tangle of emotions...and self doubt is perhaps the most difficult to handle...but believe me, it's so worth the effort to master....

James, even if someone has been hurt very deeply, it is possible for a love to come along who can persuade that their love is real. I know from experience. Thanks for sharing, James.

(smiles) This is wonderfully heartfelt, sweet friend, I know exactly what you mean because I felt no one loved me when I was a boy too because I was abused all the time and thought I was born to be hated but now I truly believe many love me and I will accept those who don't understand me too!
