Her World

She just sits there
almost oblivious to a world
that seems to be passing her by.
Only God knows how long she
sits there and why.
When she's awake she's
thinking of the source of
her next meal obviously.
But right now she's sitting
up while sleeping and she's
totally unaware of me.
In the morning she will decide
what her daily tasks will be.
For she seems to possess no job,
no home, no car, or none on
a normal list of responsibilities.
She's homeless.
She lives that life
night and day.
She's homeless.
I wonder how
her world
got that
way.

Me too James..If you are referring to the lady on Kalakaua near Mc Donalds in Waikiki... I know who u mean and my heart just cringes for that lady...there are so many homeless here on Oahu..it is sad and your poem is well written to describe that
aloha and hugs,
Cher

Poetry is:
Passion, imagination and intellect running together.

Aloha with warmest regards, Cheryl Stewart Koomoa

A passing thought?  Me too.

Fool, said my Muse to me, look in thy heart and write.

James, along with the others, I wonder, too. It's so sad. You described this situation so well. I wish that I had the means to help the whole world of homeless people...and everyone else in need, too. Thanks for sharing your heart, James.

With love and Best Wishes For All,

(big hugggsssssss) Oh James, this is so heartachingly compassionate, sweet friend, I too send hugs their way and wonder how they wound up that way and wish for new hope and promises to come their way and for love to guide them all! (sigh) God Bless You, sweet friend, this is heartfelt, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet James, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!
