You drive around a curve In the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway And you come among a field It is about dusk And you see about 25 or more deer People are walking in the field But the deer don't run But the people don't risk Getting to close The deer feed on the grass And frolic amongst themselves They don't notice the humans They just notice one another And play around Cold hands means a warm heart |

(sigh) Oh Julie, up here near Guanella Pass in the areas around Golden and Boulder, we have many white-tailed deer annually and it truly is a treasure to see the packs! (kiss on cheek) This is gorgeous, sweet friend, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Julie, thank you for sharing! May love and light always shine upon you! Julie, this is so sweet. There are a lot of deer around this part of Florida, too. I love them, especially when they are in packs. I love your poems, Julie. With Love, Ethel |
