The worlds I've seen in mind's eye, beauty that touches with picture. Stop, upon thought, pleasant or not. Still I see when I look within the glory of sight past, present, future yet realized. I reach deep in past lives, observant ever, watching always and have seen the mountains majestic across the ocean wide, pyramids reflected in gold, of Tut, of pharaoh. I've seen the wild beast of jungles deep and far away, that which stalks the night that which hunts by day. Man at best, man at worst, women taint, and pure. In minds eye, introspected thought? Scenes I've not laid eyes upon I see, I know, I feel. I've no explanation for this gift of sighted mind. WhiteRose 10/06/02 "The first rule of poetry, write what you know." |
