Words Are Consolation Knowing the dark tunnel The one marked despair Quite often will grab me Then it grips me in there The dragging and pulling Taking a firm hold of me In my tunnel of darkness Depression failed to see Its laughs and torments Scorning and sneering Lonliness seeking exits With no light appearing Leaning on my elbows With head in my hands Desolation in darkness Sadly one understands Can shadows of doubt Emerge from isolation In reaching for my pen Words are consolation Hope© 2002 |
